These terms apply when you order from sweetsnowdonia.com. Please read them before you place an order. By placing an order you agree to them.
About us
This website is run by Caroline Somary trading as Sweet Snowdonia Baking Company.
Our address is Cae Cregin, Llanrwst Road, Conwy LL32 8HZ
You can contact us on 01492 440549 or at info@sweetsnowdonia.com.
Your order
When you place an order you will get an email confirming we have received it. Our contract with you starts when we confirm your order and take payment. If we cannot make your order, for example because an ingredient is unavailable or we are fully booked for your date, we will tell you and refund you in full.
Every biscuit is baked and iced by hand, so each one is unique. Colours and details can vary slightly from the photos.
Prices and payment
Prices are in pounds sterling. Postage is shown on each product page and added at checkout. Payment is taken when you place your order, by card or PayPal. We are not VAT registered, so no VAT is added to our prices.
Making and delivery
Everything is made to order. Please allow up to 1 week for us to bake, decorate and send your biscuits. If you need them in a hurry, call or message us with your order number and we will do our best to rush the order.
We post with Royal Mail within the UK. Postage goes by the size of the parcel: letterbox, small box or large share box. You can also collect your order in Conwy free of charge by choosing Collect in Conwy at checkout. We will notify you via email when your biscuits are ready for pick-up, and arrange a suitable time for you to collect. After hours and weekend pick-ups are normally fine with advance request.
Once your parcel has been delivered to the address you gave us, it is your responsibility. Please check the address carefully, especially for gifts. If a parcel is left in a safe place by the postal worker, that is also considered as a confirmed delivery.
Gift messages and personalisation
Gift messages are handwritten on a card in the box, free. Please check spelling and names carefully, because we write exactly what you send us.
Bespoke, wedding and corporate orders
Bespoke, wedding and corporate orders are quoted individually. The quote will set out the design, quantity, price, delivery date and how payment works. Bespoke and wedding orders need a 50% deposit to confirm the order. The balance is due 1 week before your agreed delivery date. If you cancel at least 2 weeks before your delivery date, we refund 80% of what you have paid. Corporate orders are invoiced with payment due within 15 days.
Cancelling and returns
Because our biscuits are made to order and are perishable, we cannot accept returns or cancellations once we have started making your order. This does not affect your legal rights if something is wrong with your order.
If you need to change or cancel an order before we have started baking, please contact us as soon as possible and we will help if we can.
If something goes wrong
We take great care to package our biscuits so they arrive safely in the post. If anything arrives damaged or is not what you ordered, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery with your order number and a photo. We will put it right with a replacement or a refund.
We are not responsible for delays caused by Royal Mail or by events outside our control, but we will always help you chase a missing parcel.
Allergens
Full ingredients and allergens are listed on every product page. Our biscuits contain wheat, egg and milk. Gingerbread also contains sulphites. Gluten free and vegan biscuits are made with dedicated tools and on a dedicated day, but we are not a gluten free facility. We do not use nuts in any of our biscuits, but they are made in a kitchen where nuts are sometimes used for other products. If you have a serious allergy, please contact us before ordering.
Shelf life and storage
Our biscuits have a happy shelf life of up to 12 weeks in their sealed packets. Keep them sealed in a cool, dry place. Once opened, we recommend eating the biscuits within 2 weeks.
Our liability
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We do not exclude liability where it would be unlawful to do so. Our total liability for any order is limited to the price you paid for it.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The terms that apply to your order are the ones on this page when you placed it.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can also bring claims in your local courts.
