What we collect and why
When you place an order: your name, email address, phone number, billing and delivery addresses, what you ordered and any gift message. We need this to make and deliver your order and to contact you about it. The legal basis is that it is needed to carry out our contract with you.
When you send an enquiry: the details you type into our bespoke, wedding, corporate, hospitality or contact forms, plus any photo or logo you upload. We use this to reply to you and to quote for your order. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries, or taking steps you asked for before a contract.
If you create an account: your login details and order history, so you can see past orders and check out faster.
When you browse the site: cookies and similar technology. Essential cookies keep your basket working. We don’t use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. If that ever changes, we will ask for your permission first.
If you sign up to our newsletter: your email address, so we can send you coupons and be the first to show you our new biscuit designs. We only send these if you ask to receive them. Every email has an unsubscribe link and you can unsubscribe at any time. The legal basis is your consent.
Payments
Card payments are handled by Stripe and PayPal payments by PayPal. We never see or store your full card details.
Who we share it with
We only share your information with the services we need to run the shop:
- Royal Mail, to deliver your order
- Our payment providers, to take payment
- Our website host and email provider, who store the website and our messages
- Our accountant, for our tax records
We never sell your information.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for 6 years, because HMRC requires us to keep business records for that long. We keep enquiries for 2 years in case you come back to us, then delete them. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to us using it and to ask us to stop using it for marketing. Email info@sweetsnowdonia.com and we will reply within one month.
